Garlic Broccoli

Quickly steamed crunchy broccoli with garlic.  

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon - black pepper
  • 2 bunches - broccoli
  • 4 cloves - garlic chopped
  • 1 teaspoon - kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon - olive oil virgin
  • 1 cup - water

Directions

  1. Wash and separate the broccoli into stalks
  2. Peel the outer layer from the steams with a vegetable peeler
  3. Cut the stalks into 1 inch lengths
  4. Place the water in a large shallow sauce pan and bring to boil.
  5. Add the broccoli and cover then boil for 10 mintues.
  6. Drain off any remaining water
  7. Heat the oil in a large skillet and add the garlic, cook for 10 seconds
  8. Add the broccoli, pepper, and salt then toss the mixture and serve.
