Savory Sage Stuffing photo

Something I have made every Thanksgiving for the past four years and is always a hit

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - butter melted
  • 3 stalks - celery diced
  • 2 1/2 cups - chicken broth
  • 14 ounce - cube stuffing not instant
  • 1 teaspoon - poultry seasoning
  • 2 teaspons - sage
  • 1 package - sage sausage roll
  • 1 whole - white onion diced

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a large skillet over medium high heat, crumble sausage and add the onion and celery cook stiring occasionally until sausage is brown
  3. In a 9 by 13 inch casserole dish pour the cubed stuffing and add the cooked sausage mixture on top
  4. Sprinkle with poultry seasoning and the dried sage
  5. Pour the broth and butter over the top of the cubed stuffing and mix to combine
  6. Bake for 45 minute
